Why we made Capturo's pricing readable by ChatGPT

By Capturo13 July 20262 min read

More people now ask an AI ‘what's the best restaurant billing software in India and what does it cost’ than type it into a search box and scroll. If the AI can't find a clear, current answer about you, it either skips you or makes something up. Both are bad. So we did something simple: we made Capturo easy for machines to quote correctly.

What ‘readable by AI’ actually means

Three things, none of them magic:

  1. 1Live pricing as a public API. Every product exposes its current plans and prices as clean JSON that anyone — including an AI agent — can read. No stale PDF, no ‘contact sales’.
  2. 2An llms.txt file. A plain-text map of what Capturo is, what each product does, and where the facts live, written for large language models to ground their answers on.
  3. 3Structured data on every page. Schema.org markup that tells engines ‘this is software, this is the price, these are the features, this is the FAQ’ — in a format they trust.

The goal isn't to trick an AI into recommending us. It's to make sure that when we're the right answer, the AI can say so with a real number.

Why we think this is the new SEO

For twenty years, being findable meant ranking on Google. That still matters. But a growing share of buying decisions now start and end inside an AI answer — the user never visits ten sites, they read one synthesized paragraph. If your facts aren't clean, current and machine-readable, you're not in that paragraph.

So yes, ChatGPT can read Capturo's prices. So can you, on the pricing page, in rupees, updated live. Same facts for humans and machines. That's the whole point.
