Why Capturo is one platform, not one app
People ask us this a lot: why build eight products instead of nailing one? It's a fair question. The honest answer is that we didn't set out to build eight. We set out to build one thing really well — software an Indian small business would actually open every morning — and discovered that the hard part is identical no matter what the business sells.
The hard part is never the feature
A bakery, a restaurant, a hospital, a PG owner — on the surface they need completely different apps. Underneath, they need the same things, and those things are the ones that take years to get right:
- GST invoices that actually pass — HSN codes, CGST/SGST split intra-state, IGST inter-state, a real Tax Invoice label.
- Getting paid — UPI QR with zero gateway fees, Razorpay for subscriptions, WhatsApp to send the invoice.
- Multi-tenancy that never leaks one business's data into another's.
- An audit log on anything sensitive, because one day someone will ask 'who changed this'.
Build that once, properly, and the difference between a bakery app and a hospital app becomes just the workflow on top. That's the whole idea behind Capturo.
So what actually changes per product?
The rhythm of the trade. BizSweet thinks in recipes and margins. Restaurant POS thinks in tables and KOTs. HMS thinks in encounters and beds. PG thinks in rooms and rent cycles. Each product is shaped around one trade's day — and each runs on the same platform underneath.
Why this matters for the long run
When your business grows into a second thing — the bakery owner who opens a cafe, the clinic that adds a PG for out-station patients — you don't start over with a new vendor. You turn on another Capturo product and your team, your billing, your data model already make sense. One company, one login philosophy, one bar for quality.
That's the bet. Not eight apps chasing eight markets — one platform that earns the right to run an Indian business end to end.
